Preso Matic™ Keyless Locks are manufactured right here in Englewood CO – 100% in the U.S.A. The Preso Matic Lock Co was founded by Albert C. Sanowskis in 1964, and the category of keyless convenience was born. Albert’s story is very interesting, so look at our history to learn more about his many accomplishments, patents and inventions.
With Albert and his wife Maryanne nearing retirement, my mother, father and I bought the company in 1994. We hold to the solid and time tested design Albert built into the development of this lock. New manufacturing processes are utilized but the same design still beats the test of time. With over 44 years of locks still in use today, we answer the question of “how long will it last” with “we don’t know yet, we need more years to test it”. What we do know is we get calls daily from satisfied owners who have had their locks for 20-30-40 years with compliments of long use. Sometimes they want to update their lock, buy a new one or have a service issue. Most of the time we find it’s a small issue that is either door related or wear related. In any event we always work to make sure and satisfy every customer to their expectation.
Meeting expectations is the premise of our company’s philosophy. My father and I had very strong successful backgrounds in product distribution in two very established industries. With this education we developed our plans for how to operate in the future supporting our users through a quality distribution network. We are in this business for the long run. We work to make sure every buyer, seller and user of our locks understand the use and “Original” features of our lock so that it meets their expectation. We have an exclusive design and features that are not exactly comparable to every other keyless lock. Ours is “Original”. Look for the differences. From the past we now look ahead. The quote I like is “the future has finally caught up to us”. Preso Matic was well ahead of its time. Preso Matic™ holds over 7 patents in the U.S. and 16 foreign countries. We held the first patent for the keyless door lock of this kind and created the category. Some other brands may have done more with it, but we are still the “Original” keyless door lock.
